EmeryAllen Establishes Roots in Landscape Lighting with ClaroLux®

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Charleston, SC, 13th September, 2018 - You’ve probably seen it lining the charming garden path leading to your quaint hotel room. Or, maybe it’s spotlighting beautiful architecture at the art museum’s annual outdoor cocktail party. The “it” is outdoor lighting and it significantly affects the aesthetic of your landscape design. It’s ability to transform outdoor spaces has undoubtably contributed to its 7.8 percent yearly growth (according to the market research firm Global Information).

Low voltage (12v) landscape lighting fixtures are the front-runner in outdoor landscape lighting because they use less energy, are easier to install and are safer compared to 120 volt systems. This naturally drives the demand for smaller, brighter, more energy efficient lamps such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs). In fact, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) projects that by 2020 more than 75 percent of outdoor luminaire shipments will be LEDs.

“From day one, we always knew landscape lighting would be a great fit for our products. But, we knew it would take the right distributors; ones that specialize in high-quality fixtures and really know their stuff. We’ve found that in Brian and his team at ClaroLux®,” says Tom Garber, EmeryAllen’s founder.

But, with thousands of options, choosing a good quality lamp can be confusing…unless you know what to look for in the specifications (a.k.a. “specs”). Lumen efficacy is a great place to start, as it represents how bright the bulb will be based on the energy is uses. EmeryAllen’s lamps cut out the rest of the competition with this spec alone (100 lumens/watt compared to industry average of 68 lumens/watt). But, not all lumens are created equal, which is where Color Rendering Index (CRI) capabilities come into play. To top it off, contractors, designers, engineers and architects also want smaller footprints, reliable dimming (no “dead zones”) and strong warranties.

“Emery Allen’s lamps check all the boxes by featuring 90+ CRI scores, a miniature footprint, full dimming capabilities and a limited lifetime warranty. It was a no-brainer to offer them to our customers. I also liked that EmeryAllen’s story is not so different from ours. They saw a niche for high-quality lighting products designed for the North American market.” says Brian, ClaroLux’s® CEO and President.

ClaroLux® is now selling twenty 12v EmeryAllen bulbs, offered in 5 base configurations (G4 Bi-Pin, GY6.35 Bi-Pin, BA15 bayonet, S8, and T5 wedge-based), 6 wattages (ranging from 1.5W to 5W), and 2 color temperatures (2700K and 3000K). EmeryAllen’s Bi-Pins are the first offered by ClaroLux® that are over 200 lumens. Customers can visit EmeryAllen’s website to see technical specifications of the bulbs and warranty information.
