Logistics & Products Coordinator

EmeryAllen, LLC, an innovative leader in the lighting industry, is located in Charleston, SC. We have established worldwide product development, manufacturing, and distribution relationships, which have translated into the highest quality products for our customers at an incredible value. Currently, we have an opening for a Logistics & Products Coordinator to work on-site at our Mount Pleasant facility. The Logistics & Products Coordinator is responsible for supporting operations across logistics, inventory control, product management, and returns. This role assists with purchasing, shipping, receiving, and maintaining accurate inventory records while ensuring timely delivery and effective coordination with vendors, carriers, and customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Logistics

  • Purchasing
    • Assists in the purchasing of all product and samples from EmeryAllen vendors.
  • Shipping
    • Support the creation of weekly shipping schedules.
    • Collaborate with shipping carrier and logistics company representatives to schedule and ensure the timely delivery of products to EmeryAllen and its customers.
    • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on the shipping carriers and logistics providers we use (USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL), offering support and guidance as company shipping needs arise.
    • Maintain working knowledge of ShipStation and proactively explore its functionalities to support troubleshooting and resolve company-related issues as they arise.
    • Schedule meetings with carrier reps as needed.
  • Receiving
    • Responsible for the accurate entry of received product into QuickBooks.
  • Inventory Control
    • Manage customer sample process along with Logistics Manager and Sales Manager
      • Order samples from suppliers, track progress, and arrange shipment.
      • Communicate with customers regarding sample status.
      • Create and manage a system that provides visibility to the CEO, Logistics Manager, and Sales Manager regarding the status of samples for customers.
  • Run inventory reports and prepare updates for weekly Leadership Team Meetings.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency of sample areas; create systems to support these efforts.
  • Maintain a knowledge of updates to HTS codes, tariffs, or global events that could affect products or shipments.

RGA (Return Goods Authorization)

  • Oversee and manage the full RGA process, including returns, replacements, credits, and supplier communications for defective or returned products.
  • Test, evaluate, and track product patterns and report findings and resolutions to the Logistics Manager, CEO, and suppliers.
  • Maintain organized RGA operations, including reporting, recordkeeping, and workspace efficiency.

Product Management

  • Create and maintain UPCs and barcodes for all products.
  • Set up and manage SKUs in QuickBooks.
  • Assist with the special and custom ordering process from initial inquiry to customer delivery.
  • Assist Manager with coordinating with suppliers on quality control (QC) for all products to EmeryAllen’s Leadership Team and suppliers.
  • Assist Sales team in trade show prep, including pulling materials and scheduling crate shipments.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in an operations coordinator or administrative support role
  • 1+ year of experience in logistics preferred

  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and acts with assertiveness to drive results, make timely decisions, and ensure priorities are addressed proactively and confidently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data tracking and inventory control.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and supplier coordination.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities, especially in managing supply chain disruptions or quality issues.
  • Basic understanding of product costing and pricing strategies.
  • Basic Excel proficiency.
  • Proficiency in business and project management tools such as Microsoft Office, Monday.com, and QuickBooks.
  • Experience with QuickBooks & ShipStation.
  • Experience working in a Mac environment.

Compensation:  $55,000/yr – $60,000/yr
